The Preparatory Commission for the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization at times seeks an individual to provide additional expertise for tasks that are required on a temporary basis. A consultant usually contributes to high priority activities in the work program of a Division or Section.

The length of a consulting assignment depends on the project to be accomplished. It is normally not longer than six months. Every consultant is required to sign an agreement which defines the terms and conditions of the consultancy prior to taking up the assignment.
Consultants are not considered regular staff members of the CTBTO. Individuals and institutions with expertise in areas of relevance to the work programme of the CTBTO, such as seismology, geophysics, computer science, accounting, finance, human resource management or law, and who are available to work as consultants, are required to complete a Personal History Profile (PHP). Additional information relevant to your application including a letter of interest may be provided at item 30, “Other Information”. Applications are accepted on an on-going basis.
