And as the cost of tuition in US private and public universities has increased by over 50% in the past decade, there’s a growing economic imperative to study abroad.  US News and World Report just recently launched  its most recent global ranking for best countries to study abroad and the list is full of surprises!

The top 5 were:

  1. UAE
  2. Singapore
  3. India
  4. Turkey
  5. Romania

The ranking was based on surveys from over 20,000 individuals across nearly 40 countries and considered a wide variety of metrics, from education cost to openness to diversity and quality of life.
